Premium beer ‘Thamel’ now available in Nepali market

Kathmandu : CG Brewery has launched a new premium beer, Thamel, in the Nepali market.

According to the company, ‘Thamel’ is a Dry Hopped Lager produced using the dry-hopping process, in which hops are added after fermentation. The process enhances the beer’s aroma with floral and citrus notes while keeping bitterness relatively low. The company describes the product as a crisp lager with a smooth taste and clean finish.

The new beer’s name and packaging are inspired by Thamel, Kathmandu’s popular tourist and nightlife destination. Baibhav Sharma, CEO of Thamel Beer, said the company aims to capture the atmosphere, energy and experience associated with Thamel through the new brew.

The Dry Hopped Lager is available in 650ml and 330ml bottles, priced at Rs. 450 and Rs. 230, respectively.

According to the company, ‘Thamel’ is initially available at selected outlets in Kathmandu, Pokhara, Butwal, Bhairahawa and Dharan. The company plans to expand its availability nationwide in the coming days.
