Fourth edition of the Youth Entrepreneurship Summit to be held on September 15

29 July, Kathmandu : The fourth edition of the Nepal Youth Entrepreneurship Summit to be held on September 15, jointly organized by the Government of Nepal, National Youth Council and Nepal Business Institute (NBI). The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) regarding the organization of the summit was jointly signed by Surendra Basnet, Executive Vice President of the National Youth Council, and Bishal Gaire, Executive Chairperson of the Nepal Business Institute on Tuesday.

The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) regarding the organization of the fourth edition of the Nepal Youth Entrepreneurship Summit, which started in 2019, has been signed. The National Youth Council and the Nepal Business Institute have been continuously organizing the summit since the first edition.

Speaking at the MoU program, Surendra Basnet, Executive Vice-President of the National Youth Council, informed that the summit is being organized with the objective of boosting youth entrepreneurship and promoting the policy framework made by the government for the development of youth entrepreneurship. Vice President Basnet said that the Summit will be a breakthrough in encouraging youth to become entrepreneurs and facilitating startup companies. 

NBI Executive Chairperson and Summit Organizing Committee Coordinator Bishal Gaire discussed the policy and programmatic achievements made so far by the government, private sector and international partner agencies in promoting youth entrepreneurship and said that the Summit will guide future strategies. He informed that 500 representatives from across the country, including young people who want to become entrepreneurs, young people who are doing business and venture capital and equity inventors, high-ranking government officials and stakeholders, will participate in the Summit.

Right Honorable Prime Minister K.P. Sharma Oli will inaugurate the Summit with the main slogan of “Youth Entrepreneurship: Policy, Program and Implementation” and the Summit will have the participation and partnership of former Prime Ministers, Finance Ministers, Industry Ministers, high-ranking officials from philanthropic organizations and the private sector.
